The mounting was extremely easy, and once it was there felt pretty sturdy and solid. Even after pulling on it several times. It does take some getting used to opening, after a few days of practicing Inwas able to get out my firearm pretty quickly.
I like the Stopbox wall mounted version..it’s great for storing/retrieving a firearm as I leave and come back home.
This is such a great product. I mounted mine to the wall with 3 inch screws. My gun is secure from my children, but easily accessible.

I had my kids try to open the stopbox while it was empty. My kids were not able to get inside, which makes me very happy. One of my kids actually took a hammer to it and still couldn’t get into it.
I don't have pistols YET,but I have the family jewels stored in the free box with a cable mounted through the dresser. Easy access for the girlfriend. No access for others. Hope she never puts my wallet in there.
