Peace of mind is what you have when guests arrive. I am extremely satisfied with the quality of the boxes. I keep the compact box cable locked in the truck for when I need it on the go. I am likely to purchase again as a gift. Do yourself a favor and get peace of mind and buy one.

I started off with a heavy small safe that is only accessible by a key. I was fine with that, until I came across the ads about a stopbox and quickly realized just how impractical my other safe is, especially at night when you can’t see right away and seconds could matter. The stopbox pro is much better than I thought. (Biggest version over the standard) Though it doesn’t completely eliminate the need for an actual safe, it’s really that in-between storage from use/carrying to a long term actual safe. The fact that I can change the combination to just about anything that I want to and how fluid everything still is once it’s set is just nothing short of night and day and what makes it so unique and one of a kind. I really like how it’s even super travel friendly with the optional padlock available, and I can secure it to just about any permanent fixture, or semi permanent like a vehicle seat frame, with the optional cable that’s available too.

Once I saw that stopbox was having a buy one half price get a second equal or lesser value free, I knew I had to jump on it.

At the same time, I immediately thought of this young mom who I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know, and how perfect gifting the second box was. Divorced, lives by herself otherwise, 3 little boys, fellow pistol owner, and just overall an always very sweet, nice, polite, respectful and really considerate of me, never gives me a bit of attitude, and a lot of trust we’ve already gained quickly between each other thanks her German shepherd that picked me as the favorite person and has shown me that he trusts me in the one way dogs do; and we haven’t even had a range day yet!

Ours was delivered to me early, but not early enough for me to catch her at work due to the flexibility she needs; I brought hers to her work after I got off early, since that’s how we originally met and I stop by there regularly for my similar field of work. I showed up randomly, and at first she was confused as to what it was, then she pulled it out of the cardboard box and she was instantly blown away and so surprised. (I was just glad that she didn’t have one yet and knew exactly what it is) she was so surprised that she was in denial and kind of felt guilty about accepting it. I had to reassure her that I got one for myself too, and I don’t have a need for a second one, so it’s yours. Even though each one came with two sets of instructions, a code to scan for videos, and ample ways to contact stopbox customer support, she had me show her how to open it, and I assured her that she can change it easily and how with just a small Phillips head screw driver. And I recommended that since they all come set this way, and people know that, that she probably should come up with another combination, and change it, and to let me know if she needs help or has any questions. She was left really impressed and I stayed around to hang out with her and her dog until she left for the day and went home really happy doing a little dance, haha.

I knew she had a lot on her plate, she has to really budget her finances down to how much fuel to put in her truck when she needs to, so of course I wasn’t expecting anything in return; but just to show her a bit of me being me, and I like her, and I thank her for always being nice, helpful, and never giving me a bit of attitude; and even trying to help me do my part of the job when she can, and without me asking, but she insists. Needless to say she was very grateful and feels completely comfortable with me. Now I just need to work on getting that range date yes!

I took advantage of a pre-Christmas sale where you BOGO stopbox free.

It took a bit longer for my package to arrive than anticipated. That was the only setback.

Otherwise, they send you emails prepping for your new boxes. The instructions are simplified and easy to understand. I installed the Pro Ward which goes on the wall in my bedroom near a door that I can see out of to my backyard.

I changed the combinations easily.

While these may not be high-security safes, my young daughters and I have practiced the 4 golden rules of gun safety numerous times. They know them by heart and they know what I expect in most scenarios (when a friend comes over, when an emergency occurs, when a bad person - God forbid - tries to get into the house, etc.). So it's all about practicing. Practice. And more practice. Open your StopBox so many times you know how to do it in the dark if needed.

Speaking of dark, there is a separate motion-sensored, rechargable light you may purchase. I did. It was also super easy to install and definitely worth the money.

Their designs are very cool. Some women may want to add their own on the outside. Seems easy enough.
