STOPBOX COMPACT

I bought the stopbox wall mounted version (looks like same model/design as pro, just with 2 pre drilled holes) to put it on the side of my nightstand. The box looks good, and installed fairly easily. The two problems I have with the box are minor, but why I only gave it 3 stars:
1. The box can be hard to open when mounted vertically - because you have to apply pressure with your palm while hitting buttons, if the case isnt mounted shoulder height or higher it takes effort and unusual hand/arm usage. This means the nightstand install I did isn’t great, because you can’t just open it with one hand.
2. The fit is a little tight for my Springfield Armory XD - once you open the case, the gun swings out and you can’t just close the case. You have to use a second hand to adjust the gun hang so you can close/lock the case again.

With those two reasons and the build quality (other reviews also state this not sturdy, to be fair the company does say this is quick access and not solid metal) for the price, this is ok but didn’t blow me away (no pun intended).

Bought a WALL MOUNT AND A PRO in the BOGO deal, customer service was on point. Very responsive and helpful. Stopboxes them self’s were honestly hands down better then what I imagined super sturdy, they do exactly what there are supposed to do. Honestly going to order more cause why not! Fast access, keeps unwanted people and children out most definitely. Security cable for them restricted areas to secure it in a vehicle. Very solid, nice fast access “safe” and what’s better than American made and fully mechanical!

Installed a couple of days ago. Installation was easy and combination change was also not complicated. Great product!

I love being able to have my firearm where it’s accessible but safe. Having children around can easily make you second guess whether you should have a firearm laying around, the answer is no. But the Stopbox makes it safe and readily available. I use this in my vehicle as well because it’s a locked container and makes it legal to carry through states that don’t allow a concealed unlocked firearm.

I love this thing. It's so badass. Serves the purpose of why i bought it. So fast and convient to access a firearm if in need. I have it placed in a prefect spot and only takes 2 seconds to have my firearm ready vs trying to open a safe or my other stop boxes i have hidden around. I turn a corner and bam, it's right their at my height, fast draw. Love it! Thank you all. When i move and get a bigger house, best believe ill buy more.
