How do I open my StopBox?

Rest your fingers on the five actuators, press your saved combination in one motion, then slide the lid open. It is designed to become instinctive so you can do it in the dark and under stress. The first open can feel stiff, that is normal and means the lock is working.

My StopBox will not open. What should I do?

Do not pry or force it. The two most common causes are an overpacked box or a stuck thumb key, and both are quick fixes. Never store a holstered firearm inside. Work through the troubleshooting steps and if you are still locked out, contact us first at (509) 919-4600.

How do I change my combination?

You can set any of 81 combinations using the included hardware. Open the box, swap the actuator pins to your new code, and confirm it a few times before you rely on it.

Does the StopBox use batteries?

No. No batteries, no electronics, no external keys. It is a purely mechanical lock, so it is always ready and there is nothing to die at the worst moment.

How many combinations does the StopBox have?

There are 81 combinations to choose from, and 324 possible permutations once you account for the lid-pressure safety and the thumblock.

Why is the StopBox made of plastic?

It is molded from impact-resistant, glass-reinforced polycarbonate-ABS and is steel-reinforced, making it impact, heat, scratch, dent and pry resistant while staying lightweight and portable.

Can I fly with my StopBox? Is it TSA compliant?
