Great Product screw áreas could use some work.

The stopbox is great! The only thing I’d say is that the screw holes for the lock bar could be a little bigger to avoid a tightness that could end up stripping the screw when trying to change the combo. The middle screw was stripped so instead of risking putting it in an never getting it out I left it out and will replace it with another screw of the same size

Thank you for your feedback Dominic! Great idea!

Exactly what I was looking for.

I have a 4.5 inch Springfield XDM, fits perfectly. Box is easy to operate and open with the correct finger combo. Thank you.

I have 2. Need larger case.

I need you to make a largest size case. The two cases I have they function properly but they are just a little too small just a little.

Gave it a second chance

I initially sent back the StopBox. It struck me as a little flimsy compared to my steel vault, and the number of possible combinations seemed laughable. So back it went, and I used the big steel box I have for my nightstand gun. Then I realized that I needed something lighter and easier to open, but difficult enough to keep a toddler out of. That’s when I realized the StopBox was what I needed all along. It’s just big enough to store my Govt 1911, easy to tote, and quick to open. But my kid can’t get into it for lack of manual dexterity. I would like to see a drop test done on it, to see if it opens when dropped on its corner. But I trust it as a child-proof container.

Does the job.

I thought the simple combination system would be easy for a child to figure out, but so far it has stumped my 3 and 7 year-old boys. It also takes more physical strength (and adult-sized hands) than they can muster to work the buttons anyway. I don't leave them unsupervised around the box.

Only major gripe I have is the slickness of the plastic. Working the buttons is simple enough, but simultaneously gripping the lid was difficult for me. I solved this using a self-adhesive, non-slip silicone pad (see photo), similar to the pads already on the bottom of the box. Something like this, or even a texted portion of plastic molded into the lid itself, would remedy this from the factory.

Price is a little high for the materials and build quality. I think $50-70 would be more appropriate. Useful item nonetheless and I'm satisfied with my purchase.
