Right now the StopBox® is designed to be used on a level surface like a nightstand, desk or kitchen counter. The bottom of the enclosure has rubber pads for grip so it does not slide around. You can mount the StopBox® by drilling through the bottom or tether it using the SnapSafe® Lock Box Cable.
Yes. The StopBox® comes configured in a recommended combination but can be changed to fit your preference. There are 6 configurable combinations, and an additional 9 combinations with the Actuator Accessory Pack.
The StopBox® is not intended to be a safe. It’s intended to be a retention system while your firearm is in use. It’s not meant to be left unattended. It’s meant to provide a reasonable level of retention and keep the presence of your firearm discreet. You shall determine the suitability of the StopBox® before intended use and you assume all risk and liability whatsoever in connection therewith.
The StopBox® is made of PC-ABS (polycarbonate-ABS) and is one of the most widely used industrial thermoplastics. PC-ABS offers the most desirable properties of both materials – the superior strength and heat resistance of PC and the flexibility of ABS.
